Austin reflects on his tenure as secretary of defense

Lloyd J Austin III, in his farewell remarks as secretary of defense, reflected on a career spanning 45 years, including his leadership of the Pentagon since 2021. Acknowledging the burdens of service, he honored those lost in combat and the families who bear their absence.
