Singapore Changi named world’s best airport, has best washrooms
Singapore’s Changi Airport has once again claimed the title of world’s best airport for 2025 by Skytrax World Airport Awards. This marks the thirteenth time Changi has secured the top spot; beyond the usual terminals, Changi offers travelers an experience: a ten-story mall (Jewel), the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, immersive gardens, spas, and even a dinosaur-themed park. The airport also received awards for world’s best airport dining, best airport in Asia, and the inaugural prize for best airport washrooms.
Coming in at number two is Qatar’s Hamad International Airport, renowned for its luxury shopping and cutting-edge design. Tokyo’s Haneda Airport placed third, also earning recognition for cleanliness and accessibility.
Asia dominated the top ten, with airports in Seoul, Narita, and Hong Kong all ranked highly. Europe followed with Paris Charles de Gaulle, Rome Fiumicino, Munich, and Zurich making the list. Only one North American airport, Vancouver International, cracked the top twenty at lucky number thirteen.
The rankings, determined by customer surveys from over 100 nationalities, evaluate everything from baggage handling to dining options and terminal design.
