GSA huffs, puffs, blows itself out over DEI

GSA blasted its "Notice of intent to suspend enforcement of contractual DEI terms in existing agreements" to apparently all of its mailing lists Thursday, 23 January 2025. The link to SAM.gov does not require login.

GSA "intends to take immediate action to begin forbearing enforcement of all contract clauses, provisions, terms, and conditions, related to DEI." Such "programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in discrimination."

What does this mean? "This forbearance may include, but is not limited to, any clauses that mandate diversity-related obligations," and there's even a snitchline at GSAtruth@gsa.gov. (Yes, GSA comes before and after truth.)

However, "[f]or the avoidance of doubt, this memorandum does not specifically direct you to take any immediate action under your contract."
