United Airlines is set to open five new or expanded lounges this year, including its largest ever United Club at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and upgraded Polaris lounges in Chicago (ORD) and Newark (EWR), the Points Guy reports.

The latest Club Fly location opened in Houston on 25 February 2025, offering a grab-and-go concept tailored for travelers with tight connections. The design has been refined based on customer feedback, with coffee service now at the center and improved food preparation for faster service.

In Denver, the B West Club will expand to 30,000 square feet by late summer, making it one of United’s most spacious lounges. A new United Club at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Terminal 2 and a 40,000-square-foot lounge at Washington Dulles (IAD) Concourse E are also on the way.

The Polaris lounges in Chicago and Newark are being expanded to include dedicated dining areas to ease overcrowding. United has also hinted at membership and access policy changes as it looks to manage lounge congestion.

United’s investments in premium spaces reflect a broader trend among airlines to enhance airport experiences for frequent travelers. More details on the expansion and potential policy changes are expected later this year.
