United Airlines announced an accelerated rollout of SpaceX's Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet, starting with regional Embraer E-175 jets this spring and mainline aircraft by the year’s end. The service promises high-speed, low-latency internet for streaming, gaming, and shopping, offered free to MileagePlus members.

This development follows United’s 2024 agreement with SpaceX, the largest of its kind in the airline industry, to install Starlink across its fleet. Competing airlines like Delta and American have also invested in inflight connectivity upgrades, with Delta introducing free Viasat Wi-Fi for frequent-flier-program members.

Starlink’s integration represents the latest improvement under United Next, the airline's strategic growth and modernization plan aimed at transforming its fleet and customer experience. It includes the addition of over 500 new narrow-body aircraft, significant cabin upgrades, and an expanded domestic and international route network.
