GSA's Carnahan reflects on accomplishments at GSA
Robin Carnahan, Administrator of GSA, has announced her decision to step down after achieving several key milestones during her tenure. Appointed in 2021, Carnahan focused on modernizing government technology, bolstering sustainability, and streamlining procurement processes.
She sat down with FedNewsNetwork's Jason Miller to discuss her notable achievements, including advancements in the GSA’s Login.gov service and the implementation of green-buildings technologies. She also spearheaded efforts to make contracting opportunities more accessible to small and disadvantaged businesses, increasing GSA contract spending with such firms to $3.6 billion in fiscal 2024, up from $2.6 billion in fiscal 2021.
Carnahan emphasized her commitment to fostering trust in government by making its services more user-friendly and transparent.
